Carruth classical w/bevel cutaway

4,500.00

We are proud to offer three guitars from acclaimed New England luthier Alan Carruth!

This is Carruth's Grand Concert size; a bit bigger than his Standard. The sound is big and quite bold, making for a wonderful, modern, yet versatile classical guitar. Sinker cedar top, and walnut B&S. The neck is butternut with a carbon rod, and the binding and bevel cutaway are cherry. Complementing those domestic woods are an ebony fingerboard and Peruvian walnut center strip.
It must be said that Carruth's wood detail work is among the finest of any contemporary guitar maker. The bevel cutaway, which preserves the full-bodied integrity of the back and sides, is a stroke of genius. Note, as well, the gorgeous rosette and purflings on this instrument. Other details include a bone nut and saddle (both compensated!), varnish finish, and Waverly tuners. Priced with deluxe, double-arched TKL hard case.
